I made a bunch of brushes and decided to experiment with them. I started with a normal dragon I guess but it turns into one of my sea serpents from my headworld. Hope you all like. This was fun first upload in awhile I haven't been artsy of late been working hard on finding a better job. But here is a dragon for your entertainment. ;)

In the most profesional, non-threthening way, I would just like to say, "Dang, this is perfection in its monster form!" The shading and coloring provided me with a great view of the creature, and the layering of the piece was profound.
I like the vision of the piece. It was nice how you put the monster going after the viewer like this. I would have liked it better if there had been the deck of a ship and maybe some sailors running around. Mybe even have one of them also looking at the viewer and pointing at the sea serpent.
The origonallity of this piece was excellent, and I have always enjoyed Sea Serpents rising from the depths and striking. It's (in my opinion) scarier than JAWS.
The technique was perfect in every way, and I hope to see more of this kind of work in the future. I specifically liked how the scales overlap each other like fish or lizard scales. The frill on the back of the head was a really nice touch and I think without it, the pictures effect would lost.
Which brings me too the last part of the picture: the Impact. I belive that the impact will probably deliver nightmares of being eaten alive by Sea Serpents and being on a ship, then unknowingly being swallowed by a monster from the depths. One thing is for certain when it comes to this image; no one will ever look at a Sea Serpent the same way again.
What do you think?
